April - No Fools

April is upon us and time to start rolling out event ideas for the month, starting with tonight.  We will be heading to the Hofbrauhaus tonight for Beer & Blog, for the first time and hopefully not the last.

Let me stress that this is not a joke, but it is a rumor.  We have heard from reliable sources that Hofbrauhaus will be closing as soon as next week.  Again this is a rumor, not confirmed, but it is also not an April Fools joke and does come from a good source.  Take that how you will, but we felt a last minute change of venue was in order for this evening, hope lots of you can attend.

In the upcoming weeks, we have a potential Tapping Party at Gordon Biersch in Boca Park, at least one trip to the Freakin Frog, a possible new venue (working on details), as well as some interesting field trips.  I will have all the relevant details up just as soon as possible, tomorrow even I hope.

UPDATE:  As you can see in the comments section and now in the update, we have a confirmation that Hofbrauhaus is not going anywhere!   Yah!  Still glad we finally pulled a gathering there together, and based on the feedback on Twitter of folks unable to attend tonight, we will need to visit them again in the near future.

Wk12 - Twestival

Another Twestival came and went, we had a good turn out of Beer & Bloggers in support of the cause, Concern Worldwide.  The global event was able to beat last year's amount of money raised, but Las Vegas fell short of our individual goal.

We spent a large portion of the evening in the quaint Caramel Lounge, in the otherwise huge Bellagio Hotel & Casino.  After the event officially ended, the place began to fill up with a more club crowd, and we eventually made our ways home.

Thanks to everyone who showed up in support of the Twestival and Beer & Blog.

Wk11 - Gordon Biersch

After the crazy party at the Beer Festival, a Wed night St Patricks Day and the upcoming Twestival... we felt it was best to give our livers a day off.  So we took Week 11 off, but then had an impromptu gathering on Tuesday night at Gordon Biersch.

I cannot say it enough, Gordon Biersch is hands down the best happy hour in town and a great space.  The doors are starting to get rolled up and the beer garden is open as the weather is heating up in Vegas.
