Wk 6 - Fadó Irish Pub

A late but frequently rotating crowd attended last evening, in our debut at Fado.  Most everyone enjoyed a round of the Guiness Mac & Cheese off the happy hour food menu.  The large selection of traditional pub beers included bottomless Stella until 7pm and $4 Blue Moons.

Fado has a lot of space and plenty of places for a large group to spread out, but they did fill up later in the evening and their open mic kicked off at 9pm.  All in all a good time though and definetly a place we will need to visit again in the future.

Next week we are eyeing up the Hard Rock, not sure of the crowd due to the big events happening on Friday night, our second #SnugCrawl and the gala premiere of the Cirque show Viva Elvis.  More details on next weeks meeting will be posted on Facebook this weekend.

Wk 5 - Freakin Frog

Another week at the revitalized Freakin Frog, as we were coming off the GoWalla Swapmeet on Wednesday night, it seemed prudent to stay close to UNLV.  That did work to our benefit and we actually had a very respectable turn out.

The Freakin Frog had an excellent tap selection last night and we were joined by a couple new faces and few we had not seen for some time.  Although the crowd dwindled throughout the night, a few stayed on late into the evening.

Next week we will be trying a new venue, Fado Irish Pub in Henderson.

Wk 4 - Gordon Biersch

This week became the chance for us to finally start rolling out to other locations, and we were at Gordon Biersch.  Before you say, again, it was a different location, out in Summerlin at Boca Park.  They were rolling out their new seasonal HellesBock beer with a tapping party.

The tapping party at this location was a bit different from the ones held at the Paradise location, so although we did not really get to be part of the party, we had a good time.  The staff there was very accommodating to us and extended the bar only happy hour to us in the dining room.

A much quieter location we had the opportunity to have some interesting discussions with out the normal noise of some of the bars & restaraunts we frequent.

Wk 3 - Gordon Biersch

It's raining in Vegas, and it doesn't want to stop.  Weather has descended upon Vegas this week and some exchanging of tweets and a bad forecast for Thursday led to an impromptu Beer & Blog on Wednesday night. 

In all likely hood Beer & Blog would have landed at Gordon Biersh this week, it has become our go to spot for smaller scale events.  They have a great happy hour menu and it's close by for a lot of folks.  It was a small crowd because of the weather and short notice.

Descisions for next week are pending finalization, but small crowds are expected due to the Cirque Blogger event on Monday night of next week.

Wk 2 - Freakin Frog

As expected, we had a great turn out for the official anniversary of Beer & Blog Vegas, probably over 2 dozen people attended.  The previously busy Freakin Frog across from UNLV, was also on the quiet side that evening, allowing us to take over.

It was great to see some people who had not been with for a while, and it was the biggest group we had since the end of summer.  No decisions were made for the next gathering, plans to be organzied are underway and hopefully starting in February the location will be known in advance, going forward.

Wk 1 - McMullans Irish Pub

The week 1 version of Beer & Blog was a nice turn out, even with CES in town.  We had about a dozen people and the normally bosterious McMullans was rather on the quiet side that evening.  Mainly we did a lot of catching up from the holidays and had a few drinks.

Freakin Frog was suggested at the following weeks location because it would be the One Year Anniversary of the Las Vegas edition of Beer & Blog.

First BNBLV of the Year

Tonight will be the year's first Beer N Blog and I expect it to be a fairly good turn out.  We will be meeting at McMullans Irish Pub, across from the Orleans Casino.  It is far enough off the strip that it should not be effected by CES foot traffic.  But accessible to most of our members, looking forward to getting the year kicked off on a high note!
